RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE

Os Rage Against the Machine (também conhecidos como Rage ou RATM) são uma banda de rock estadunidense. Foram uma das bandas mais influentes e polêmicas dos anos 1990.

Uma forte característica do RATM é a mescla de hip-hop, rock, funk, punk e heavy-metal, com letras enérgicas e politizadas. Junto com a música de protesto, demonstraram a luta pela causa política, contra a censura, a favor da liberdade e em prol dos menos afortunados.

O som do grupo é bastante diferenciado, devido ao estilo rítmico e vocal de Zack de la Rocha e as técnicas únicas de Tom Morello na guitarra.

Logo após a banda terminar em 2000 os três membros (Tom Morello, Tim Commerford e Brad Wilk) se juntaram a Chris Cornell ex-vocalista do Soundgarden e lançaram 3 álbuns com a banda Audioslave. Em 2007, os membros originais, após inicialmente anunciarem o regresso para um concerto único no festival Coachella, decidiram organizar uma digressão que se estenderá a diversos países, entre os quais Portugal.
