DIO

Dio foi banda de heavy metal criada por Ronnie James Dio em 1982 após sua saída do Black Sabbath. Em entrevista disponível na edição especial do álbum Holy Diver, Dio disse que nunca teve intenção de começar um projeto solo e sim apenas formar uma nova banda, juntamente com o baterista ex-Black Sabbath, Vinny Appice. Mas Dio acabou sendo o nome da banda por acidente, e o nome simplesmente pareceu bom para a banda. Foram convidados também para a banda o guitarrista Vivian Campbell (Whitesnake, Def Leppard), o ex companheiro de banda de Dio na época do Rainbow, Jimmy Bain.

THE DOORS

The Doors foi uma banda de rock norte-americana dos fins da década de 1960 e princípio da década de 1970. O grupo era composto por Jim Morrison (voz), Ray Manzarek (teclados), Robby Krieger (guitarra) e John Densmore (bateria). A banda ainda recebeu influências de diferentes estilos musicais, como o blues, jazz, flamenco e a bossa nova.

Canções como "Break on Through (To the Other Side)", "Light My Fire", "People Are Strange" ou "Riders on the Storm", aliadas à personalidade e escândalos protagonizados por Jim Morrison, contribuíram de sobremaneira para o aumento da fama do grupo.

Após a dissolução da banda no início da década 70, e especialmente desde a morte de Morrison em 1971, o interesse nas músicas dos Doors tem-se mantido elevado, ultrapassando mesmo por vezes o que o grupo teve enquanto esteve activo. LED ZEPPELIN

Led Zeppelin foi uma banda britânica de rock, formada em setembro de 1968, por Jimmy Page (guitarra), John Bonham (bateria e percussão), John Paul Jones (baixo e teclado) e Robert Plant (vocalista e gaita).

O grupo foi um dos mais populares na década de 1970 e da história do rock. Célebre pela sua inovação e por ser um dos criadores do heavy metal,^[2][3][4] a banda também incorporou elementos de gêneros como rockabilly, reggae, soul, funk, jazz, entre outros.

Seus álbuns venderam mais de 300 milhões cópias em todo o mundo,(incluindo 109 milhões de vendas nos Estados Unidos). Foram também os únicos a colocar todos seus álbuns no Top 10 da parada norte-americana Billboard.

Desde a morte do baterista John Bonham, em 1980, que colocou fim da banda, o Led Zeppelin reuniu-se em ocasiões especiais. A primeira delas foi em 1985 quando participaram do concerto beneficente Live Aid - com Phil Collins e Tony Thompson (Chic) na bateria. Três anos depois, com Jason Bonham na bateria, tocaram no aniversário de 40 anos da gravadora Atlantic. Em 10 de dezembro de 2007, os três membros originais do Led Zeppelin e Jason Bonham reuniram-se para um tributo a Ahmet Ertegün, fundador do selo Atlantic (morto em 2006), na O2 Arena, em Londres.

SCREAMING TREES

Screaming Trees foi uma banda dos Estados Unidos de rock, considerada parte do movimento grunge do início dos anos noventa. O som da banda era uma mistura da psicodelia dos anos sessenta com o rock agressivo da costa oeste dos Estados Unidos. Embora os críticos elogiassem o grupo, eles jamais tiveram o status de outras bandas do movimento, como o Nirvana e o Soundgarden. A banda acabou em 2000, quatro anos após seu último lançamento, "Dust", de 1996.

L7 foi uma banda estadunidense que misturou metal com punk, considerada grunge. Foi formada em 1985 por Donita Sparks e Suzi Gardner em Los Angeles. Posteriomente se juntaram ao grupo Jennifer Finch e Dee Plakas. A banda aparentemente se desfez em 2000, mas seu fim não foi declarado oficialmente.

O nome (L7) deriva de uma gíria nos EUA para "quadrado" (que seria a forma resultante de se colocar um "L" formado pelo dedo indicador e polegar esquerdos com um "7" formado pelos dedos polegar e indicadores direitos).
