MÖTLEY CRÜE

Mötley Crüe (pronunciado 'mótlei crul') é uma banda americana de glam metal criada em Los Angeles, Califórnia em 1981.

A banda foi formada pelo baixista Nikki Sixx (que estava envolvido numa banda chamada London) e pelo baterista Tommy Lee, mais tarde entraram o guitarrista Mick Mars e o cantor Vince Neil. Mötley Crüe vendeu mais de 80 milhões de álbuns em todo o mundo.

Freqüentemente, a banda é conhecida pelo estilo de vida de seus integrantes: Todos tem muitas passagens pela polícia, passando tempos na cadeia por conta de seus vícios em bebidas, drogas e por fugirem com mulheres. O nono álbum de estúdio da banda, Saints of Los Angeles, foi lançado em 28 de Junho de 2008, enquanto estava sendo filmado uma adaptação da Autobiografia da banda, que foi lançada em 2009.

Nightwish

NIGHTWISH

Nightwish é uma banda escandinava de metal sinfônico formada em 1996 na cidade de Kitee, na Finlândia, pelo tecladista e compositor Tuomas Holopainen; a formação original ainda contava com o guitarrista Emppu Vuorinen e a vocalista Tarja Turunen. Atualmente o grupo tem cinco integrantes, sendo que Tarja e o primeiro baixista, Sami Vänskä, já não estão mais envolvidos.

O Nightwish era popular na Finlândia desde o lançamento de seu primeiro álbum, Angels Fall First (1997), e ganhou fama na Europa com o álbum Oceanborn (1998). Contudo, foi com os álbuns Wishmaster e Century Child que adquiriu reconhecimento mundial. O álbum de 2004, Once, foi um grande sucesso internacional, permitindo que o Nightwish realizasse várias turnês visitando dezenas de países ao redor do mundo, e o single Nemo incluiu a banda dentro da programação da MTV, assim como o single Wish I Had an Angel, ambos usados em trilhas sonoras de filmes norte-americanos. Em 2005, o Nightwish lançou mais um single de Once e em 27 de setembro lançou a coletânea Highest Hopes, contendo músicas de todos os seus álbums e também um single independente, Sleeping Sun, que contou com um vídeo promocional; ao fim de 2005 Once havia vendido mais um milhão de cópias ao redor do mundo e sua turnê, Once Upon a Tour, tinha mais de 130 shows realizados.

Em 21 de outubro de 2005, após o fim da Once Upon a Tour, Tarja foi oficialmente demitida da banda através de uma carta aberta para a imprensa; após a demissão a banda ficou todo o ano de 2006 em pausa e em 24 de maio de 2007 a nova vocalista, Anette Olzon, foi finalmente anunciada;^[9] a banda ainda lançou dois singles até finalmente lançar seu sexto álbum, Dark Passion Play, em 26 de setembro, iniciando no mesmo mês a turnê promocional que durou até 19 de setembro de 2009; ainda em 2009 o grupo lançou um novo EP, Made in Hong Kong (And in Various Other Places), e em 2010 saiu uma grande coletânea, Lokikirja, contendo toda a discografia do grupo. O novo álbum está previsto para sair em julho de 2011, junto com as primeiras datas de uma nova turnê.

Estima-se que o Nightwish já tenha vendido mais de cinco milhões de CDs e DVDs ao redor do mundo, o que o faz o grupo de maior sucesso da Finlândia de acordo com a indústria fonográfica finlandesa.

SMASHING PUMPKINS

The Smashing Pumpkins é uma banda de rock alternativo norte-americana formada em Chicago no ano de 1987. A banda passou por diversas mudanças de integrantes ao longo do tempo, mas durante a maior parte de sua carreira, assim como na maioria dos créditos em seus álbums, foram compostos por Billy Corgan (vocais, guitarra), James Iha (guitarra, vocais), D'arcy Wretzky (baixo, vocais) e Jimmy Chamberlin (bateria, percussão).

Menos influenciados pelo punk rock do que outras bandas contemporâneas de rock alternativo, a banda possui uma sonoridade bastante diversa, densa, com uma forte presença de guitarras e com elementos de grunge, rock gótico, heavy metal, dream pop, rock psicodélico, rock progressivo, um estilo de produção shoegaze e, posteriormente, música eletrônica. O líder da banda, Billy Corgan, é o principal compositor - suas grandes ambições musicais e letras catárticas moldaram as canções e álbuns da banda, que têm sido descritos como "angustiados, relatos da terra de pesadelos de Billy Corgan."

O Smashing Pumpkins surgiu no mainstream com o seu segundo álbum de estúdio, Siamese Dream, lançado em 1993. A banda construiu a fama deste álbum com uma extensa turnê, e seu sucessor, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, lançado no ano de 1995, estreou na primeira posição na Billboard. Com aproximadamente 18,3 milhões de álbuns vendidos apenas nos Estados Unidos em 2006, o Smashing Pumpkins foi uma das bandas mais aclamadas e de maior sucesso comercial dos anos 1990. De qualquer maneira, brigas internas, uso de drogas e a diminuição das vendas dos álbuns obrigaram a banda a se encerrar no ano de 2000. Em abril de 2006, Billy Corgan anunciou que a banda estava retornando e que iriam gravar um novo álbum. Os membros que retornaram foram Billy Corgan e Jimmy Chamberlin, e eles contrataram novos membros Jeff Schroeder (guitarra, vocais), Ginger Reyes (baixo, vocais) e Lisa Harriton (teclados, vocais) em 2007 para a turnê de divulgação do álbum Zeitgeist.

Creed é uma banda de Rock Alternativo norte-americana formada em 1995 na cidade de Tallahassee, originalmente idealizada pelos amigos Scott Stapp (vocal) e Mark Tremonti (guitarra).O grupo anunciou um hiato em 2004. Mas em Abril de 2009, no entanto, o site oficial do Creed foi re-lançado, e um vídeo com nome "coming soon 2009" foi colocada na página inicial, o que confirma agora que a banda está de volta. O grupo já vendeu mais de 40 milhões de copias no mundo e 35 milhões so nos E.U.A. Quatorze discos de platina,isso colocou a banda no 9º luagar na Billboard um dos artistas que mais vendeu discos nas ultimas décadas, Creed é com certeza uma das maiores bandas de rock das últimas décadas.

DEPECHE MODE

Depeche Mode é uma banda inglesa de synthpop formada em 1980 em Essex, Inglaterra.

A banda é a mais duradoura e bem sucedida que emergiu da era New Romantic e New Wave. Um dos grupos precursores do synth pop, o Depeche Mode pode ser considerado um dos maiores e mais importantes representantes da música eletrônica, ao lado de Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, New Order e Kraftwerk.

Hoje é considerado uma enorme influência para diversas bandas de pop e rock atuais, como Smashing Pumpkins, Linkin Park, Lacuna Coil e Deftones. Possuindo também uma lista de fãs ilustres como Marilyn Manson, Trent Reznor (do Nine Inch Nails), Scott Weiland, Amy Lee, Robert Smith, Tori Amos, Shakira, Lady GaGa e Johnny Cash.

Depeche Mode era inicialmente formado por David Gahan (vocalista), Martin L. Gore (tecladista, guitarrista, vocalista e compositor a partir de 81), Andrew Fletcher (tecladista) e Vince Clarke (tecladista e compositor de 80 a 81). Vince Clarke deixou a banda após o lançamento do álbum de estréia em 1981, tendo formado o duo Erasure. Foi substituído por Alan Wilder, membro de 82 a 95. Após a saída de Wilder, o Depeche Mode continuou a carreira como um trio.

Em 2009, era estimado que a banda já havia vendido mais de 110 milhões de cópias em todo o mundo. A banda teve 44 canções nas paradas britânicas e já esteve mais vezes que qualquer outro artista entre os 40 mais ouvidos no Reino Unido a alcançar o primeiro lugar. Também é reconhecido por suas técnicas de gravação e o inovador uso de samplers.
